Shopping on Online Platforms

(1) Account registration
To make purchases on the online platforms (not involving store transactions), customers need to register an account in order to use the relevant services provided to them on the platforms. By creating an account and using the platforms, you consent to provide true, accurate, updated, and comprehensive information about yourself as needed. Please refer to our privacy policy to learn how we use your personal information.
If you are under 18 years old or do not have full capacity for civil conduct, once you register an account on our platform or use our services in any other way, it means that you have informed your parents or guardians of these Terms of Service before registering or using our services, and they have agreed to your registration and use of our services according to these Terms of Service. Lane Crawford reserves the right to accept orders only from persons who are 18 years of age or older and have full capacity for civil conduct.
We will never ask for your account password, whether it be in writing (including email or other forms), in person or via phone. When using our platform, you are responsible for protecting your account and the password used to access our services, and you will be held accountable for all activities carried out through your account. Please take reasonable precautions to guard against account theft. If you suspect that the security of your account has been compromised or that someone else is using your account, please contact us immediately.
(2) Prohibitions and violations
We may take action against your account for situations including but not limited to the following:- You have made certain submissions of materials (including but not limited to personal information, text, images, music or videos), but you lack sufficient rights to do so or to grant authorization.
- The communication that is sent contains illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful or offensive content in terms of race, morality or other aspects.
- Publishing advertisements or sending any form of information without the recipient’s consent.
- Pretending to be someone else or providing any kind of false information.
- Starting or forwarding any chain communication in any form.
Lane Crawford reserves the right to terminate an account at its absolute discretion. In such an event, we will send you an email to inform you of the termination of your account.

Any customer who violates Lane Crawford Store Operations Policies which can be found at https://portal.LCJG.com/supplier for Hong Kong SAR and for China, abuses Lane Crawford Returns Policy (including without limitation demonstrating a high incidence of returns of merchandise (“Merchandise”) after purchase), or engages in inappropriate behaviour (including without limitation abuse of Lane Crawford staff), or illegal activities (including parallel importing or passing off of Merchandise purchased at Lane Crawford) may suffer the following consequences:
- The customer may be blacklisted by Lane Crawford;
- Lane Crawford may not accept future orders from the customer in-store and/or online;
- To the extent permitted by applicable laws and regulations, Lane Crawford may decline the customer’s request to return or exchange any Merchandise;
- If the customer is a holder of the Privilege Cards, he/she may be disqualified from the Privilege Programme; or
- If the customer is not a holder of the Privilege Cards, he/she may be barred from joining the Privilege Programme.
The decision as to whether a customer has violated Lane Crawford Store Operations Policies or abused Lane Crawford Returns Policy or engaged in inappropriate behaviour remains within Lane Crawford’s sole discretion. Suspected illegal activities will be referred to Lane Crawford’s legal department for further investigation and action.
