At Lane Crawford, we love podcasts – so much so, we created our own.
Whether it’s a series that educates on a new topic, offers a gripping true-life storyline or engages us the same way an old friend would in conversation, podcasts have the power to enrich, entertain and soothe.
We also love finding new individuals to hear from, which is why we’ve asked some of our designer friends to sound off on their current personal favourites.
“I have been enjoying listening to How to Fail With Elizabeth Day, and I especially loved the episode with Alain de Botton which is all about embracing vulnerability. I feel like this whole year has been about learning how to fail gracefully and to be grateful for the process. This year we are celebrating ten years of Holly Ryan Jewellery and there have been so many milestones for myself and for the brand over the past decade. Not all of those have been successes, but even the failures have been wonderful opportunities for growth. So, this podcast is great because it really helps you to be grateful for all of the learning curves in life and in business.”

“The last podcast that made a huge impact on my perception of life was Daring Greatly, in conversation with the author Brené Brown and Oprah. They discuss the importance of being vulnerable and how the path to your true authentic life is the secret to being a full-hearted person.”

“Zihnimin Kıvrımları (Bends of My Mind) by Serdar Kuzuloğlu, a Turkish trend and technology journalist, points out the social norms and reminds us how much we are stuck in them in a humorous way. The series reminds me just how much we have become structured machines and how we should not forget our emotions as human beings. Besides this, I am also really into healthy living and nutritionist podcasts which have helped me to drastically change my eating habits for the better.”
