CASSINA Antropus

Style  211377016

In the 1940’s, Marco Zanuso was commissioned to set design for the Italian-language version of the Thornton Wilder play 'The Skin of Our Teeth', or 'La Famiglia Antropus'. He worked with a local furniture company and padded the piece in foam rubber - at the time an innovative material which held vast ergonomic potential. In today's reissued version by Cassina, the armchair is made of CFC-free polyurethane foam, upholstered in red fabric to maintain its oversized and comfortable seat and backrest.
