Mt. Washington Pottery marries the ancient Buddhist Wabi-Sabi aesthetic of traditional Japanese ceramics with the modernism of Scandinavian design to create uniquely modern home ceramics. Crafted by Beth Katz, who grew up in a family of painters and designers in the 1970's hippie enclave of Topanga Canyon in Southern California, pottery was always what she was destined to do. “I always try to follow my heart and express what resonates inside,” she says. “My intention is to share my joy of the material and design with others.” Every creation is punctuated with a personal final touch - Katz’ fingerprint embedded in the base of each piece.
