Hong Kong celebrities get knitting for “Wrapped With Love,” Lane Crawford’s Winter 2011 charity initiative.

To further promote “Wrapped With Love” — Lane Crawford’s heart-warming charity initiative run in collaboration with Club Monaco — Hong Kong celebrities and socialites attended a knitting workshop on November 19, 2011, at the ifc mall store.

Celebrity models Jennifer Tse and Kathy Chow, together with leading socialites Dr. Christie Wu, Kennis Tai, Eydie Tai and Barney Cheng, came together to knit squares, which will be used to create blankets to be donated to the Crossroads Foundation. Lane Crawford has pledged to donate a minimum of 3,000 blankets to this charity, which will distribute them to families locally
and abroad.

As the key sponsor for this initiative, Club Monaco has donated knitting wool for participants to use and, in addition, will donate a portion of the proceeds for every piece sold from its exclusive cashmere knit collection. Also, Lane Crawford will donate HK$50 for every limited-edition gift card sold.

“Wrapped with Love” is an initiative that symbolises a collaborative spirit to spread love during a season of sharing, caring and goodwill. Lane Crawford has reached out to the local community to participate in “Create & Knit” — including 2,000 students from 25 local schools, support from ambassadors and celebrities, Hong Kong’s top companies and more than 2,400 internal staff from Lane Crawford Joyce Group and Club Monaco.

Until December 25, “Wrapped With Love” knitting kits (containing yarn and bamboo knitting needles, packed in a reusable bag) will be available from all Lane Crawford stores. For more information, please call +852-2118-7777.
