“There’s been a lot of talk about the Danish term “hygge” lately and this is exactly what Trunk is about,” says Klingberg who is kicking off his winter wardrobe with a scarf, Shetland sweater and socks by Falke and suede Chelsea boots by Common Projects. “When at home, I will light a candle by Tom Dixon. My favourite is Earth which smells like you’ve got a warm fire burning.”

Being “cosy” also expands to his style of leadership. “We have a custom of bringing back sweets from our travels for everyone to enjoy. I visit Switzerland quite often, so there’s been a lot of chocolate lately,” says Klingberg.

Klingberg’s feel good philosophy also expands to his work with the Prince’s Trust. “I’m a mentor on their Enterprise programme. The main aim is to give meaning to the young people’s lives and get them in to work, either employed or self-employed, or further their education.”

The financier turned clothier, Klingberg is also a believer in the joys of gardening. “We all know how good being in nature can make us feel. The Japanese refer to it as forest bathing. It has nothing to do with bathing, but simply being in nature. In the kitchen, try growing pots of rosemary, basil, and thyme. The smell and taste is lovely. I also like having a variety of plants in different greens, short and tall and some with big leaves and some with small.” The beauty, as with true style, is always in the detail.
