The New Season’s Top Ten

We’ve seen it all from the front row, edited our must-haves and now, finally, the new-season collections are dropping in store. From the top brands on our radar to the tailored coats we can’t get enough of, start the new season armed and ready with the top ten things we love right now.

Notes from Lane Crawford’s Fashion Director, Sarah Rutson

01

Victoria Beckham Coats

Our new obsession. The strong lines and clean silhouettes tap right into the season’s focus on tailoring. If you’re looking for the perfect coat, the first two exits of the AW 2014 show were standout key pieces.

02

Sacai

We have long been champions of the incredible talents from Japanese brand Sacai, and this season it wowed the world. This mid-calf split skirt with oversize biker jacket is one of the strongest looks of the season.

03

KTZ

As one of our new brands this season, KTZ’s urban edge and upbeat energy are infectious. Their inimitable bomber jacket is set to become an instant hero piece come fall.

04

Shrimps

Our buyers search high and low for brands that offer something a bit unique and this season, their gem of a find was London faux-fur brand Shrimps. Already a buzzword with fashion’s front row, this name is one to watch and wear.

05

Bucket Bags

The arm candy of the season? The bucket bag. There’s not a designer out there without one in their collection and we especially love them worn across the body, as seen at Alexander Wang and Proenza Schouler.

06

Sneakers

Sneakers have gone upscale this season, with variations in super-sized heights that pack a punch, as seen at Marc by Marc Jacobs. Opt for a luxe pair and upgrade your look instantly.

07

Fringing

Fringing has gone high fashion this season with perfectly shredded leather, and ribboned panels adding an elegant swish to the coolest of looks. Look to Stella McCartney and Chloé for the finest examples of the grown-up and glamorously after dark aesthetic.

08

Head-to-toe knit

Is there anything more comforting as the nights draw in than a cosy knit? Only a totally on-trend, head-to-toe version, obviously. Get inspired by Peter Pilotto and The Row’s full-on fashion looks.

09

Pointed Flats

Sleek and sophisticated, the flat pointed shoe has become the new everyday classic. From ornate embellishments to simple and minimalist, as seen at Dolce & Gabbana and Paul Andrew, this versatile style is the perfect new-season wardrobe update.

10

Givenchy

A tour de force, Givenchy’s show was one of the strongest of the season. Quintessentially French and sensual in every way, we’re obsessed with the colour block knits that came down the runway.
