The brainchild of sisters Bette and Cilla Eklund, BeDesign was inspired by their childhood spent surrounded by animals and the outdoor life. “For us, nature’s ingenuity works as a constant source of inspiration and strength for our everyday living,” say the sisters.
Combined with the family’s roots in Finnish architecture, arts and design, BeDesign encompasses a design language that is a mix of both worlds. This is most evident in their Deer Shelf range, an impressive and statement-making bookshelf, inspired by wild deer. Made from solid oak or metal - each piece is made by carefully selected, skilled craftsman - yet lightweight in feel, the airy shelves are perfect for storing books magazines and showcasing small decorative objects. On its own, it doubles as an art piece.
We also love the Fan stool, inspired by the unique shape that comes from empty corner spaces in the room. This neat design can be combined in several different ways thanks to its 90-degree shape. Used alone, the elegant stool works seamlessly in small apartments.
The Eklund sisters are involved with each and every step of bringing their unique vision to life; hours spent designing, crafting and fine-tuning each piece to add that wow factor to your home.
