It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what kick started fashion’s current love affair with skateboarding. Some put it on the resurgence of all things ‘90s (now old enough to be new) and ‘70s (when surf and skate style really began to flourish) while others point to the subculture’s effortless ease and carefree attitude that appeals to today’s street style icons as much as it did the youth during the sun-bleached So-Cal era of Dogtown and the Z-Boys.

Whatever the case for it, skate style has segued into all facets of fashion and the latest, is tinged with nostalgia for the logo and graphic tee.
