With the brand’s signature ironic and provocative attitude, Staffonly’s clothing is also underlined by functionality, and sculpted yet sporty silhouettes. The designers aim to capture the funny moments “when people try to address things in a very serious and formal way,” Yea reveals, which provides them with a lot of inspiration. “This type of attitude shows up in many details of our designs.”
Having both graduated from schools in the British capital - Yea with an MA in Accessories Design from the Royal College of Arts and Zhou with a MA in Menswear at the London College of Fashion - and just showing at London Collections Men, the city holds a special place in their hearts. “Impossible is nothing in London,” Zhou adds of the city they both used to call home, “We like the humour that Londoners have. We’d like to bring that to everyone.”
