Artist Re/Interpretations
To celebrate the new season, Lane Crawford has invited a series of artists to reinterpret and reconstruct our most iconic products. Discover their unique installations in store at Lane Crawford locations across Hong Kong.
John Meng
Based in Xiamen, China, John Meng works across a variety of disciplines ranging from graphic to interior and furniture design. In this piece, he combines function, form and playfulness to create a surrealist sculpture inspired by the works of Jean Tinguely.
Mike Mak
With each design, Mike Mak looks to make a statement that truly encompasses the elements that inspire him in everyday life. Here, the Hong Kong-based designer explores the endless possibilities and surprises that come with future technologies.
Kim Kui Tang
Known for exploring creative ideas by challenging the norm, artist Kim Tang’s sculptures involve special techniques. In this piece, Tang creates a heart sculpture made from fabric, piping, trimmings and various homeware pieces, which was inspired by the concept that creativity keeps the world beating.
Milk Design
Hong Kong-based agency Milk Design draws on the subtleties of daily life at the core of its design approach. For Lane Crawford this season, the agency builds on the concept of rediscovery by presenting a series of mannequins whose clothes open to reveal an unexpected message.
