The SS17 Trend Report
The looks you’ll be wearing the season ahead
From the street slogan sensibilities of New York and London to the fresh new stories that unfolded on the Milan and Paris catwalks, here’s a round-up of the key looks you’ll be wanting to wear for the season ahead.
To view the best of the new collections, book your personal appointment and receive expert guidance from our personal stylists from January 20 to February 5, 2017.
THE PINK PARTY
The oft-clichéd feminine hue is reimagined in soft and sophisticated dusty shades. It will appeal to the traditionally pink averse wearer and looks fresh not as an accent but as a total head to toe look. Offset the pretty quotient with masculine silhouettes.
MICROFLORALS
Spring has long been synonymous with flowers, and why not? But this season’s blossoms are not your ordinary garden variety. Small springy prints, often on rich dark backgrounds bring florals centre stage for the new season. Silk blouses, prairie dresses and slips offer joyful bursts of botanics. It’s the perfect arrangement for day or night.
A SLEEVE STORY
Balloon, ruffled, trumpet: the dramatic sleeve is a way to add a dressy, playful note to all variety of tops from shirts to fine gauge knitwear. Wear with a midi skirt or cropped pant and you are ‘done’.
THE ‘90S LOGO TEE
Wear your ‘club’ on your sleeve, and your brand on your chest. Logo tees and tops baring bold graphics; symbols and badges are a tongue-in-cheek homage to now-cult brands from the ‘90s. Play up your typography IQ and get to know the graphic language.
IT’S THE BOMB(ER)
The universal zip up jacket is still the topper for Spring. Perfect for transitional season, the bomber’s newest iterations are softer and silkier with carefully crafted embroidery for added luxe.
