Los Angeles-based Svetlana Shigroff is a costume designer, visual artist, stylist and production consultant that creates wearable art through the craft of tapestry. Reworking vintage jackets with new linings and the process of hand-tufting (rare within the contemporary art scene) using industrial waste, each piece is sustainable and completely unique. Shigroff describes her work as, “intuitive textile art based on cross cultural archetypes and narratives that speak to the subconscious.”
