Designed by ceramicist Shelly Simpson, mud australia combines handmade processes with clean lines and a vivid range of colours that provides a timeless alternative to mass-produced ceramic design.

Each piece is made from Limoges porcelain sourced directly from France and has a distinct organic feel which all comes down to its unique treatment. Unlike conventional ceramic tableware, mud australia tints the porcelain body throughout to provide complete rich colour-depth – this means that if a ceramic piece is chipped, the exposed portion will be coloured and not white. Clear glaze is then applied to the interior of each piece leaving the exterior with a stone-like surface that becomes smooth with handling.

With a mostly muted palette of ash, off-white and slate, the range is punctuated with vibrant reds and pistachio in a variety of everyday shapes.
