“I’d recommend three in particular: first, clear quartz is known as the ‘master healer’ and is known for its ability to maintain clarity and focus. It’s beautiful and minimal in colour and works well with all other crystals from a styling and healing perspective.

Second is fluorite, which assists in rapid organisation and processing of information. If you hold it in your palm it’s the perfect meditation tool.

Third is amethyst, which will help you de-stress and open up your spiritual awareness. Its intense calming properties balance emotional highs and lows, and it’s best placed in your meditation space or bedroom.”

“The first time I felt crystal energy I was with my mother and a friend. We all put our hands inside a giant geode crystal cave, and the vibration of this giant crystal sent shivers up our spines and our hairs stood on end. So they do work in the same way we’ve discussed, but I’d say big crystals definitely have a bigger effect.”

“There are a few things to keep in mind. Keep a couple of stones on the windowsill or hallway table in plain sight and let them act as a reminder. Every time you look at your stones, remember to keep your thoughts and actions in line with your intentions.

Have a favourite crystal as a ‘worry stone’ or massage object for brainstorming. This helps to deflect negative energy and is a great way to quieten the mind and get creative when brainstorming new ideas.

Change the stones to fit in with the colours that suit your mood and interior style and colour palette. Make crystals practical, using them as paperweights and bookends, and use crystal platters to display candles, plants and decor. Place crystals on the soil of pot plants or terrariums to help the plant to last longer as well as look divine.”

“To maintain positive energy, follow three steps to care for them: first, cleanse them regularly. You can cleanse using water, sound and smoke. Second, charge them in the sunlight or moonlight to reset and configure their vibration to work at its most optimal level. Third, activate them by setting an intention.
