Everyday Beauty: Amanda Del Duca

Ever been curious about how other women approach their beauty routine? Us too, which is why we’re digging around the bathrooms of women around the world to discover their daily routines. This month we hit South Beach to meet with Miami local, Digital Content Producer Amanda Del Duca.

“I really like to take my time in the morning. I wake up with lemon water and wash my face. I love using a rosewater spray in the morning. The spritz and aroma wakes me up. I use an anti-ageing serum and then moisturise with face cream. Then I’ll do put primer on my face before I style my hair. I am in the process of growing out a pixie into a bob so it’s sort of a struggle. I am really trying to not do anything to it and just let it grow! I take hair strengthening vitamins daily to help me grow the hair faster and strong. I’ll use coconut oil to slick away any flyaways but other than that I don’t use any other product.

In Miami glowy, dewy skin is always in. The weather is so humid you need to embrace moisture. Too much foundation or anything cakey on the face is very noticeable - and too much product will actually run down your face! For makeup - I use a full-coverage foundation and NARS Concealer along with applying eyeliner, eyeshadow, bronzer, highlighter, mascara and a rose lip balm. I drink my coffee, stretch, listen to a podcast, fold laundry, etc. It takes me about two hours in the morning to be dressed and ready. In general, though, I can shower and be ready in 1 hour.

At night, I use a Kate Somerville cleanser and my Clarisonic MIA Fit. I'll use a makeup remover wipe to get off any excess eye makeup, and either jojoba oil or a another night oil, lip salve, and night guards for my teeth. I also like to use a moisturizer on my entire body or if I take a shower at night I'll use coconut oil. Once a week I will drink 8oz water with a tablespoon of activated charcoal for a detox. I like to do it on Sunday, especially if I was drinking alcohol over the weekend. I really like to use oils at night. It feels like I am really treating my skin and myself. I also love a sheet mask. I usually end my daily routine laying in bed and putting on my eye cream. I am usually watching a show on my iPad, setting my alarm for the next morning and just taking that final moment to take care of myself before falling asleep.”
