Using land, organic materials and metal, artist Bradley Duncan constructs sculptures and site-specific environments evoking universal ideals of order, balance and form. Duncan works with space, both solid and void, and a repetition of shadows reflecting on his sculptures to create his art. “My aesthetic falls into the minimalist tradition and emphasises simplified geometric form, with a reference to modern and ancient architecture,” says Duncan. His influences include the craftsmanship of the Shaker community in his home state of Ohio, and native plants and geological formations of his current home, California.
