Belgium designer Olivier Theyskens is highly regarded as one of this generation’s most acclaimed stars for his visionary work at Nina Ricci and Rochas. In 2010, Theory founder and CEO Andrew Rosen approached Theyskens to collaborate on a special collection dubbed Theyskens’ Theory. The designer accepted, and explained to press: “I had been looking for a more personal project. I found it at Theory.” The elegant, sharp collection fuses Theyskens’ avant-garde design sensibilities with the quality tailoring and clean silhouettes that lie at the core of Theory’s aesthetic. Following the immediate success and critical acclaim of Theyskens’ Theory, Olivier Theyskens was appointed artistic director of the global Theory brand in November 2010.
