In 1950’s Italy, Sergio Rossi began learning the trade of shoemaking alongside his father in the Romagna district. These formative years would breed a lifelong obsession and passion for making shoes that are distinctly feminine, fabulous, and comfortable. As his fame rose he saw a collaborative partnership with Gianni Versace in the 1970’s, a time when Rossi’s taste was as renowned as his craft. Many top designers would ask Rossi to choose footwear for the catwalk in their shows, such was the ability of Rossi to make and select footwear that would drastically enhance an outfit. Today as part of the Gucci group, the Sergio Rossi name is a luxury accessory brand that commands deep respect from the world of fashion.
