Since her premiere collection in 1998, she artfully adapts rare materials with bold colour into must-have bags, clutches and totes. Known for her innovative and unconventional use of precious skins dyed with distinct block-colour, her luxe bags have become instant classics. Handcrafted by a team of local Colombian artisans, her pieces are meticulously designed and seek to convey joy, benevolence and strength. Gonzalez advocates social change, employing almost entirely women (and providing daycare for their children) as well as sourcing most of the brand’s materials from its own farms. Her creations have featured at The Costume Institute in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, showcasing her intoxicating blend of exotic materials, vivid colours and strikingly simple shapes.
