In 1970, under the advice of the incomparable American Vogue editor Diana Vreeland, Blahnik began to focus on shoe and accessories’ design and moved to London. A year later, British designer Ossie Clark used his shoes, solidifying Blahnik’s talent. Today, Manolo Blahnik’s heels are revered worldwide and exhibit the very best in workmanship, be it his classic leather sling-backs or satin-buckled bridal heels. He has won countless awards for his contributions to footwear, from the British Fashion Council, Council of Fashion Designers of America and Her Majesty the Queen.
