Balancing contrasts — between high and low society, elegance and street life, modern and ethnic cultures — is his specialty, where a strong aesthetic of mixed forms is always charged with moody attitude and strong spirit. Having lived in various cities throughout Africa and Europe since he was born, graduated from high school in The Netherlands, and trained at the Royal Academy of Antwerp, his diverse background and incredible experiences have shaped his cross-cultural interpretative style and avant-garde vision. Since launching his eponymous collection in 2001, he has amassed a devoted cult following worldwide.
