A diffusion line of celebrated avant-garde designer Rick Owens, DRKSHDW was launched in 2005 with a focus on industrial street style and lower price points, while still staying true to Owens’ signature rock-inspired edge. From deconstructed denim and androgynous pieces to treated canvases and leathers, DRKSHDW represents a ready-to-wear interpretation of Owens’ rock-fueled chic. The American designer originally launched his eponymous label in Southern California in 1994, and after winning the CFDA New Talent Award in 2002, moved to Paris in 2003 where he still works today. In addition to the original Rick Owens collection and DRKSHDW, Owens also oversees his other lines including Rick Owens Lilies and Palais Royal, and serves as Artistic Director of Revillon, the centuries-old luxury furrier.
