Hong Kong native Dorian Ho launched the Doriano label for the China market in 1993 before later expanding into the international fashion scene with his namesake evening label Dorian Ho in 2001. Showing at the Mercedes Benz Australian Fashion Week in Sydney and Seventh on Sixth in New York that year, Dorian Ho quickly gained global recognition for his alluringly feminine evening looks, his collections snapped up by the likes of Barneys Japan, Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, and Lane Crawford. Portraying feminine sensuality through classic designs and a modern silhouette, each Dorian Ho piece features luxurious fabrics from chiffon and satin to organza, complemented by various forms of hand beading or innovative accents of crystals or feathers. The acclaimed designer also launched a successful bridal collection in 2005, and has received numerous awards including the “Outstanding Designer” award at Moet and Chandon’s tribute to Asian fashion designers in 2007.
