Originally conceived by French couturier Madame Carven de Tommaso in 1945, Carven introduced a new, fresh and spontaneous take to women’s fashion at the time by offering accessible luxury through simple and refined designs. Today, Carven is helmed by Creative Director Guillaume Henry, who re-launched the brand in 2010 as a ready-to-wear label, injecting it with a casual elegance while still staying true to Madame Carven’s design sensibilities. The new collection features chic, feminine pieces that are versatile yet edgy, embodying a vibe described as “bourgeois, but with a nasty side” by the designer. More importantly, Carven’s collection today is accessible, with pieces that are affordable and styles that can be worn all day from morning to evening - designs that incorporate “real honesty… that focus on a woman’s needs.”
