The Massachusetts-born designer studied shoe illustration and design at New York’s Pratt Institute in 1965, and worked for various brands before launching her own business at the age of 31. Today, based in Spain, she has carved a solid reputation in the fashion world with her highly ornamented designs, amassing a celebrity following that includes Halle Berry, Kim Cattrall and Oprah Winfrey. Known to be as whimsical and colourful as her eye-catching footwear creations, Feldman firmly believes in a “more is more” mantra. “Too much is not enough,” she has said.
