It has been ten years since French designer Marie-Helene de Taillac debuted her collection to instant renown. Inspired by Indian making-making techniques, her collections are distinctly balanced between modern chic and old world charm. Taillac is the first jeweller to introduce briolette cutting to all gem work, a technique normally used only on diamonds. The result releases hidden facets and beauty from ordinary or lesser gems and allows her to take advantage of an inherent love of bold colour combinations in her design.
