Designer Overview: Led by the rebellious, rambunctious, rocker, rogue fashion mogul Michael Ball as its CEO and creative director, Rock & Republic is not just another denim brand. First launched in 2002 after designing a killer pair of jeans for his girlfriend, Ball created Rock & Republic as a street-styled fashion brand packed with edgy attitude and sophisticated femininity — and, with a few quick years, took it to the top of the premium-luxe lifestyle market. This Season For Spring/Summer 2010, Rock & Republic’s creative director Michael Ball found inspiration from Vladimir Nabakov's “Lolita,” where themes of sexual naivety and pure innocence prevail. Look out for sumptuous leathers, structured jackets, daring dresses, hot prints and a black, black palette.
