Designer Overview: Revered as the king of authenticity, Prps combines the slick street-style fashion of New York with an expert Japanese family-run mill and organic Zimbabwean cotton to create the most stylish denim in the softest, supplest fabric. Named after the shorthand for “purpose,” the cult-worthy brand aims to deliver perfect denim products to the most discerning denim connoisseurs. Woven on vintage American looms by Japanese specialists, Prps is renowned for its premium-quality, durable fabrics — and most notably, its custom-made purple selvedge-edged denim. This Season: For Spring/Summer 2010, Prps denim for men favours extreme washes and abrasive treatments. Rather fetching shirts, solid summer chinos and lightweight leather jackets also impress.
