Designer Overview: Hailing from Texas, the ever-evolving and ever-graceful model, Erin Wasson, embodies the bold, beautiful modern female ideal. A former couture catwalk model and once the muse/stylist for designer friend, Alexander Wang, Wasson was named by Forbes, at age 26, as one of 2009’s Most Entrepreneurial Supermodels. Known for her sexy casual-glam style, she was signed by lifestyle brand RVCA in 2008 for a collaboration clothing line. Her clothes are very wearable and can be easily incorporated into any wardrobe — where each collection is purposefully full of everyday clothing with edgy quirks and urban spark. Fusing a classic Americana aesthetic with rock’n’roll attitude and fashionista soul, Wasson’s RVCA collections are as down-to-earth, spunky and charming as the designer herself.

This Season: For Spring/Summer 2010, Wasson departs from the dark, sultry, rocker vibe she first set out on. “I based it on the idea of a girl who’s on a journey, which is myself,” she explains. “I’m still embarking on this journey of being a designer and creating things and sharing my vision with the world.” Expect to pack micro shorts, baggy tanks, tissue tees and white denim.
