DOM PERIGNONDOM PERIGNON Dom Pérignon is one of the world’s, if not, the most prestigious brands of champagne, and is produced by Moët et Chandon. The label of champagne founded its name through Pierre Dom Pérignon, a Benedictine monk who set out with the goal of creating the world’s best wine in the late 17th century. Dom Pérignon’s line, Œnothèque fulfills the goal of Pierre Dom Pérignon as they extend each bottle of Dom Pérignon Vintage’s aging process. Dom Pérignon, in collaboration with fashion couturier, Karl Lagerfeld, has designed a unique and limited accessory entitled ‘le bol-sein’, which translates to ‘the breast bowl’. Le bol-sein is a perfectly rounded bowl, hoisted up by three porcelain bottles of Dom Pérignon, and legend has it that the bol-sein, first made in 1787 in France, was used by Marie-Antoinette herself to drink not only milk, but also champagne. The modern incarnation of this unique piece was inspired by a series of photographs shot by Lagerfeld for the Dom Pérignon Œnothèque with Claudia Schiffer.
